Unfortunately, the band was cancelled again tonight as you all know. Instead of sobbing about not seeing all of you and the Buddy Mac Band tonight, I decided to try out a recipe I’ve been wanting to make since we got the coffee wine bottled. For the lucky ones, who have picked up UW Dark Passion, here is one for you to try.

2 tablespoons dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
4 cloves garlic grated
1/4 tsp cinnamon
coarsely ground black pepper

Whisk together all ingredients.
Marinate steaks for at least 2 hours
or overnight. When ready to grill,
remove steaks from marinade and
season well with salt and pepper.
Grill to desired doneness. Enjoy!

We are so pleased to host a wine glass painting class. Design for this class is a cute starfish on a blue glass (glass not as picture above). Class will be under the instruction of Susan Daugherty on AUG 19, 2016 at 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. We would request that you arrive at the winery at around 6 PM to have a leisurely free wine tasting. Our wines will be available for sale by the glass and by the bottle during this event. Be ready to have a great time!

Dark Passion

Dark Passion rev c

We have a limited supply of coffee wine up on the shelf. Dark passion is made with a specialty blend of robust dark roast coffee beans. This wine gives you the rich aroma and flavor of coffee. It’s like drinking a mildly spiked cold brew. Great ingredient or pairing with tiramisu or cheesecake. Might even work as a substitute for coffee red wine marinades. Must try for black coffee drinkers.

Its finally bottled!!! The most awaited wine is now available at the main winery… and soon to come at the Latrobe outlet.

94-Fifteen rev c

East meets West in a perfect marriage of luscious mango and floral linden tea. Why 94-Fifteen? This recipe was made especially for our wedding on Sept 4, 2015. 94-Fifteen was the moniker I came up with for Daniel to always remember when our wedding anniversary is. Ingenious!

Come and visit us to enjoy this wine unique to Ungrapeful Winery!

Wedding at the Winery

We were very excited when a couple booked the winery for their wedding a couple of months back. The COUPLE: Elizabeth and Robert. Liz’s dream was to have her wedding at a winery. When they came to Ungrapeful Winery to talk about having their wedding on 4th of July weekend, we were happy to oblige.

The date was set, July 2, 2016. The rest of the details were just going to have to fall in its place. After numerous trips to the winery, more than a couple of emails back and forth, the day has finally arrived.

Armed with friends and family, Liz transformed the winery grounds into her vision. Honoring the patriotic weekend, there were American flags everywhere and colors of red and blue.

They wanted everything to be festive, simple and laid back with nature as their backdrop. That is what they got… and more. The weather was perfect. Slightly cloudy but with out a drop of rain. Not too hot, no too cold.

Liz and the bridal party were waiting for everyone to get ready.

Cue was given. And off they went to start the ceremony. Had a small glitch getting the wedding march song going but it all worked out in the end. Thank you to Gashouse Annie for providing the entertainment all night.

Too bad I had to stop taking pictures because I got busy behind the tasting counter. We hope everyone enjoyed their time at the winery celebrating this wonderful couple.

To Liz & Bob congratulations and best wishes from all of us here at Ungrapeful Winery.
